Side 2
I've been making steady progress on Medieval Octagon.
2/2/16
2/4/16
I did make a couple of changes. The vines up the side were supposed to be in WL Jade, I think. I accidently did them in my conversion from WL Emerald. I decided I liked my oops well enough I would leave it along and noted the change so all four sides will be the same. I also changed those blue flowers. They were supposed to be outlined in WL Emerald. I wasn't excited about back stitching blue with green. So I checked my stash and found a PTB in a dark blue. I think it's PB08 which gave my flowers a bit of pop to go along with all the gold back stitching.

Medieval Octagon Mandala
I started Chatelaine's Medieval Octagon after I finished Glory and Honor. I'm stitching on 28 ct antique white Monaco.

First finish of 2016
If I would have realized beading would have taken less than a week, I may have just finished this last year. As it is, I finished Glory and Honor (for the second time) tonight.
I'm thinking of stitching this one more time for my Mom, but it definitely won't be right away.
Now, do I pull out Loneliness of Autumn from Love Thy Thread
or open up the kit that has been sitting right beside me for the last couple of weeks - Chatelaine's Midieval Octagon Mandala
Might have to let one of the boys choose.

Sea Witch
Late last night, I finished page 1 of Sea Witch. When I stepped back all I could say was Wow! The colors seem to jump out of all that black background.
When I took Sea Witch off the q-snaps today, I pulled Glory and Honor back out. This just has beading and the odd couple of stitches I missed for a finish. Here's a current picture.
Next time should see this finished.

Still plugging along
I'm not getting as much done on Sea Witch as I would like, but I've been spending more time with some good books so I can deal.
1/13/16
I didn't even pick this up Thursday or Friday.
1/17/16
Yesterday involved some major cleaning which will probably continue into this week. Our home computer died and we're cleaning out the office before the new one comes so there's more space for homework. In the spring, when it's actually nice enough to work outside, I plan to build a custom desk that has lots of room for homework and building models (so the door can be closed on curious cats) but until then, we'll make do.

2016 New Year's Start
To celebrate the beginning on 2016, I started HAED's Sea Witch (art by Julie Bell). The first 26 rows of this page are pretty solid black so it's taken a little persistance to get through.
1/7/16
1/10/16
The red at the tips of the wing were kind of unexpected but pretty.
I don't know if it's all the black in this or what my problem is but I'm having to push myself to keep stitching this. I almost pulled out a Chatelaine kit yesterday but stuck with this.
