I finally finished part 2 of Chatelaine's Hawaii 11/12/19.  This is going to take a nap for a while, until I'm ready to start the next part.

The Master came out for a couple of lengths of floss so I could meet that goal as well.

When I took The Master to rejoin the rest of my WIPs, I pulled most of my remaining WIPs that haven't been touched this year.  Chatelaine's Polar Mandala got pulled out for a couple lengths of thread.

The Loneliness of Autumn as charted by Love Thy Thread made an appearance.

I'm almost done with my goals for this year.  I think most of the rest of them are just to add a few stitches so I can say they saw some love before they are put away again.

Then it was time for Earth Song to come out again for probably the rest of the month.

I finished Needleworker last Monday evening.  This picture is kind of dark, but I'm happy with the result.

I picked Hawaii back up with the goal of finishing part 2.  I didn't quite meet my goal, but I'm close.

I haven't added the backstitches in the tops of the pineapples yet because I'm not sure what color I want to use.  Black is charted but won't show up well so I'm thinking about a dark blue/green PTB

After I finish this part, I'm thinking of pulling The Master out for a length of thread to meet my goal on it before I go back to Earth Song.

I came so very close to a finish last night.

This is when I moved my qsnaps the last time.  I added the very bottom of the "r" before I had to call it quits.

Today, over lunch at work, I'm hoping to get this finished.

I did make some progress on Hawaii last week.

I'm probably going to focus on this for a few more days to see how much more progress I can make.

Page 3 is done!!

The other day I looked and before this year, I hadn't really touched Earth Song since 2015.  Now, three more pages are done!

I pulled Earth Song off the QSnaps to take a picture last night and decided to pull out a couple of WIPs to try and make my goals for them this year.

My goal for Her Private Garden was just to add some stitches this year.  I added a length of 3371.

Then, I pulled out Hawaii and started working on the next pineapple.  This is as far as I got last night.

I'm planning to keep Hawaii out for the next week or so.  The pineapple don't take very long and finishing the remaining three, part 2, is my goal for this year.

Hawaii was left at home today and I brought Needleworker.  I still haven't added any more stitches, but I intend to over lunch at work today.

Earth Song made some good progress over the last week.  I actually added about 1300 stitches over the weekend which I haven't done for quite a while.

I'm hoping to see a page finish in the next week or so which is awesome since I hadn't made much progress on this one for the last couple of years.

I also had a very small new start on Needleworker by Little House Needleworks on the drive to my son's football game.  But since I decided I didn't like my 2x2 coverage and frogged the bit I'd done.  There was only a stitch or two which is not worth showing when we got to the game.

M. Woods is at a stand still right now.  I'm debating on the color used for the H.  It's also used on the red flowers.  It's not really visible.  I'm debating just leaving it since it is a reproduction sampler, or above that top, green border, I've auditioned three different colors, one in two different weights.  It's just a couple of stitches in each one.  Tell me what you think.

Earth got some love over the last week.  I'm almost to the half page point in the 939.  The rest of the center bit is pretty much all black then there is some more light blues on the right.

I forgot to share progress on a couple of WIPs last week

I've been struggling a little bit to pick a WIP and stick with it.  I don't know if it's because I decided I needed to touch all my WIPs before the end of the year, because I want to finish Earth Song next year or because I've finished kitting up Sarah Braizear and want to start her, or a combination of those.

Anyway, here's the progress I made on Chatelaine's Blue Moroccan Lace over the last couple of nights.

And I've made a little more progress on Charting Creations Wolf Totem
but I've miscounted in a couple places so there is frogging to be done.

I've made progress on Earth Song, but I think I spent more time looking at it over the last week than I did actually stitching on it.  So, it's taking a break.  I have made it to the edge of the page so progress has been made, I just can't stay focused on it.

Yesterday, I pulled out M. Woods 1759 by Milady's Needle.  I've had this kitted with a custom HDF conversion since 2013.  I originally kitted it with three different shade of white in Kingston linen.  Since 46ct linen has hit my radar, I have a piece from xJuDesign that I decided to use.

Here's how far I got yesterday.

The linen might be a little dark, but I like it.

Not a lot of progress this week.  I've been spending more time with an assortment of books.

But, there was progress

Monday, September 23, 2019

I finished three stripes of Star Spangled Banner this week.  For some reason this one is super slow going for me.  It took all day yesterday to finish stripe 6.  But I love the result!  One more new band then they repeat.

Once I put Star Spangled Banner away, Blue Moroccan Lace came out.  I haven't worked on a Chatelaine for a while and it was time.  Here was my progress last night.

I'm still happy with my fabric choice even though it was way different than my normal choices.

Page finish!

And another 2019 goal met!

He Came With the Rain from Unconventional X Stitch

Then I pulled out SS Daybreak from HAED and put in a couple hundred stitches.  I had no intention of a page finish, I just wanted to add a few stitches instead of just letting it sit in my WIP basket without any attention this year.

Not a huge difference, but better than nothing.

Star Spangled Banner was next up.  I don't have an after picture, but I was working on the white stripe I started last time it was out.  I discovered my stitches were a thread off so all of that stripe came out and I started over.

A little progress last week.  I didn't get as much stitching done as I would like.

I had a page finish of Sea Witch Tuesday then I pulled out He Came With the Rain from Unconventional XS.  The pages are much smaller and I'm probably within 600 stitches of another page finish which will complete another goal I set at the beginning of the year.

Starting point

I'm hoping to finish this page in the next couple of days and move onto another WIP.

Page finish!

I finished page 3 of Sea Witch last night and debated about keeping her out.  Love the shading!!  But I'm still working my way through my 2019 stitchy goals.  Maybe after they're done...

Instead, I pulled out He Came With the Rain from Unconventional XS and put in a few stitches.

Sea Witch is still out and I've completed all the black on this page.  I struggled a little bit with some of my counting but I found the issue and corrected it so I'm hoping for a page finish in the next couple of days.

I did some stash organizing Saturday and came upstairs with a few things I'd like to work on, mostly to work on some more of my annual goals but at least one because I want to work on it.

Cherry Hill Farm Sampler by Stacy Nash:  when I started this, I oriented the center basket the wrong way on the kit fabric.  I need to rip this out and restitch.

Louisa Coulimore from Hands Across the Sea:  I really like this one and would like to have more progress

Polar Mandala by Chatelaine:  I'd like to add a couple more colors.  This center part is huge and over one so any progress is good.

He Came with the Rain by Unconventional XS:  My goal this year is page two and the pages are small so it shouldn't take long.

First, a finish!

Slater's Stocking from Shepherds Bush
stitched on 36 ct Platinum with regular DMC 2x2 but in order to keep the same size finish, each stitch of the chart is 4 stitches.

Sea Witch is out for a few challenges on Facebook.

Monday, August 26, 2019

I've only worked on my stocking this week.  I've finished the stack of gifts and the sled and moved down to the foot.

I'll finish the last sheep and fill in the windows of the last house on the right today and start the train.  I would love to move the qsnaps one last time today and finish this stocking up this week.  I really need to go find the charm pack that goes with this stocking so I can get those all attached too.

Monday, August 19, 2019

I've decided I want to give all my WIPs some love so I can meet my goals this year.  Most of them were to just get some stitches so it's not like the goals are hard, but still.

Page 26 of Coat of Arms from Stickideen von der Wiehenburg

Warrior Alice from Eclectic Bloke Designs

Thanks to the Friday Off the Grid group on Facebook, I had a new start of Autumn Quakers from Rosewood Manor.  I couldn't choose a fabric so my son picked Silkweaver's Toffee in 40ct.  I didn't have the Valdani called for so I picked similiar HDF from my stash.

And I completed the first motif before I moved on...

I also added some stitches to Wolf Totem from Charting Creations

and of course there was my son's stocking.
I'm hoping to get the gifts and sled done this week so I can move the the foot of the stocking.
