Memorial Day

I hope everyone stateside is having a great three day weekend!  My little family has taken time to remember all those who have served our country.  Both my maternal grandparents served as did my paternal grandfather.  My husband has also served.  THANK YOU!

Onto the stitching!

I've been stitching away on Spring Knotgarden since Tuesday.  Last night I finished parts 5 and 6 on the second corner.

Just two more corners to go!  But, One Nation has been whispering so it may come out tomorrow.  Wait and see!

IHSW

Yes, I know I'm late but I really wanted to finish page 8 of Window to share.

Now, I need to take Window and DBS downstairs and pick out another WIP to work on.  Spring Knotgarden is getting close to a finish, I think that's the one.

Part 5!!

Is done!! And it feels like it about doubled the size of the stitched area.  From the picture, it's almost double part 4 but not quite.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes with regards to my job hunt.  It continues...

Happy Mother's Day! and an update

I hope all the mothers out there had a great day!

We had a good one.  DH had to work, which is normal but my boys spent most of the day with friends at the park.  The house was soooo quiet!  Tonight, they went outside and picked flowers.  I got a bowl of every flower we have around the house.  Roses, dyanthis (sp?), iris, columbine, marigold and others I can't remember right now.  It was sweet!

Last week I interviewed for a new job.  Don'g get me wrong, I like my job.  It has little quirks that aren't normal.  For example, school gets out this week.  In March, my sitter told me that she couldn't take my oldest anymore.  He's too old.  So, he's coming to work with me this week when school gets out.  I'm hoping to get his eyes checked while he's in town with me.  Most jobs wouldn't allow him to be there.

But the drawbacks are starting to outweigh the other.  So, I sent off my resume and got an interview.  One of my co-workers used to work for this company and still talks to the owner.  He met with the same person who interviewed me for something totally unrelated and talked me up.  Thank you!

I've still been working on Deep Blue Sea and have finished all the fish.  So now there are just the three jellies, the waves and all the beads to go.  I would like to finish tomorrow, but I don't know how likely that is.

Until then...

May Wipacolypse

It's Wipacolypse time again!  I've been busy stitching on Deep Blue Sea this week and have managed to get the frame of part 5 done.  It would be further along, but I've been distracted by a crochet class I'm taking.

There's lots of stuff to be added to this part, so I think I'll got start on some of it before bed!

The crud going around

Since it seems both my kids have to catch whatever is going around, I get extra stitching time.  Jakob had it last week and into the weekend.  Joshua caught it and had a temp at school yesterday.  That means he couldn't go to school today...which wouldn't have happened anyway...he's just not quite back to normal yet and the school has a silly rule about being fever free for 24 hours before they can go back.

So, I've been stitching.

Last night, I finished page 10 of 1900 ABC.  So close to the half way point...just two more pages to go.  This thing is going to be monster big when its done!

Then, just for a change of scenery, we revisit Deep Blue Sea.  This month is the entire top of the piece.  My guess is the northeast corner or the east side next month.  If you add them up there's 8 more parts that way.  This thing is going to just shimmer when it's done.  This part has so many beads and lots of PTB that it will just shine!
