8/26/19

I've only worked on my stocking this week.  I've finished the stack of gifts and the sled and moved down to the foot.

I'll finish the last sheep and fill in the windows of the last house on the right today and start the train.  I would love to move the qsnaps one last time today and finish this stocking up this week.  I really need to go find the charm pack that goes with this stocking so I can get those all attached too.

I've decided I want to give all my WIPs some love so I can meet my goals this year.  Most of them were to just get some stitches so it's not like the goals are hard, but still.

Warrior Alice from Eclectic Bloke Designs

Thanks to the Friday Off the Grid group on Facebook, I had a new start of Autumn Quakers from Rosewood Manor.  I couldn't choose a fabric so my son picked Silkweaver's Toffee in 40ct.  I didn't have the Valdani called for so I picked similiar HDF from my stash.

And I completed the first motif before I moved on...

I also added some stitches to Wolf Totem from Charting Creations

and of course there was my son's stocking.
I'm hoping to get the gifts and sled done this week so I can move the the foot of the stocking.

Feathers in the Wind from Tilton Crafts got some love this week.  Not much, but a couple of strands of 3865 across the top of page 3.

And there was a page finish!!

8/5/19 update

I finished page 7 of Earth Song last night!!
I started this page in January 2015.  I must have put it away then and picked it back up for a challenge on the HAED Facebook page in October 2016.  I'm glad I've picked this back up and am looking to finish it within the next year.  I've decided my problem was the confetti of the wolves and my dislike for 25ct lugana.  I'm hoping when I wash it, the weave of the fabric will tighten up and coverage will look better.  With any luck, I'll be able to get the next page done this week.

I've also been working on my son's stocking.  I took a picture last night when I moved the qsnap.

The stocking is my travel piece that sometimes gets attention at the end of my evening.  I would like to get the staff and stack of gifts on the sled stitched this week so I can move to the foot of the stocking and start all the fun little motifs.
