4/27/22

I'm still plugging away at my goals this year.  Last night, i finished page 7 of Warrior Alice.

Page 8 starts her dress so I'll be back soon!

I decided to take a break from Alice so I do to burn out on her and started Un Ricamo per Rinascere from Mirabilia which was a fundraiser through Casa Cenina in 2017.

Here's my little bitty start

4/21/22

On the 14th, I finished Grandpa's Truck.  This square reminds me of the house my parents built for their retirement.

Then I pulled out Celtic Anow from Northern Expressions Needlework.  I finished the central knot and started some of the specialty stitches before I ran out of steam.

Next, Cider Dragon from Paine Free Crafts came out.  There is no block stitching in this one but page 2 did go quickly and I found the Dragon!  He is high confetti!

I'm thinking of Warrior Alice next but that is a decision for later.

4/12/22

I've made some good progress and finished Horsin' Around Sunday.  I made a couple of changes since one of the called for colors doesn't show up on my fabric.  Instead of the Classic Colorworks Pebble Beach, I stitched the horse's hooves in DMC 310 and in the saddle blanket, I used Gentle Arts Simply Shaker Sampler Threads Freedom.

Then I pulled Grandpa's Truck.  I'm debating what to replace Pebble Beach with.  I'm leaning towards Gentle Arts Slate.  I've got a couple different dye lots that will be used for the roof.

4/6/22

Sunday, I met my 2022 goal on Come Into My Garden from Blackbird Designs.
Of course I could have met it without stitching the entire border but there it is.  And it's the first try!

Next I pulled out The Loneliness of Autumn from Love Thy Thread.  My goal here was to just add 1% or 1188 stitches.

I met my goal on 4/6/22 with 1588 tent stitches

I think Horsin' Aound from Little House Needleworks is coming out next.  I've only started the border but I'm hopingnit doesn't take long to stitch.
