Pita

Just to let you know, Pita came through her minor surgery just fine. I had to have my DH's hands to make it work though. The lure didn't seem to be bothering her too much before he got home though, she was eating and drinking with it just fine.

Once I had another pair of available hands, Ed cut the hook so the weight wasn't causing any problems and we pulled the barb through. That was the worst part. Then it was all over. I don't think Pita will be checking out any more fishing lures again, no matter how good they smell!

More winter

But I hope that Winter Watergarden is the only way it continues.   I won't be caught up before part 3 comes out on Tuesday but I'm getting close.

Catfish?

I just wanted to share a picture of the fuzziest catfish I've ever seen!

I left work early today because the weather has turned really crappy. Snow and wind blowing it around. The server has b een down, so my leaving just gets me home to stitch instead of stitching at my desk! When I got here, I saw something hanging from Pita's mouth. I thought she'd been chewing on toilet paper. When I looked a little closer, I found this:

Yes, you do see a fishing lure hanging from her mouth.

I seems I need to make sure that asll the fishing lures are properly put away so the kitten doesn't give herself any more piercings! Now we have to wait for my husband to come home so I have another pair of hands to remove the pretty fishy from a naughty kitten!

1900 ABC

As you can tell by the title, I did get distracted with another project. This one had been whispering to me for a while. This one is stitched through page 3 with the Sticklounge group. The originally released parts can be found here

Now, I think I'm going to print off the next page and go stitch!

Winter Watergarden

Here's the top of part 2 of Winter Watergarden. I've noticed my colors are much darker than the other WIP pics posted on the Chatelaine BB but I'm OK with that. Mine feels like some of the ponds you can find around here this time of year with the mud and the winter killed grass around the outside.

Now, do I want to move to another side or move to another project entirely? Decisions.

I just finished part 3 of Homage to Japan with the Sticklounge group. I wanted to share a picture before I pull Winter Watergarden out for part 2.

Purple Garden 1

This one is a little different for me. I liked it for the blackwork and I believe there are several more sections of it in parts to come, but I had some problems getting into it. I started the border before I started Winter Watergarden and decided to work on at least part of it again Sunday night after I finished part one of WW. I finally got to the blackwork last night and that seemed to fly!

Winter Watergarden

It doesn't look much like winter here today with puddles of water that were piles of snow not so long ago. While my kids have been playing outside in almost 60 degree temps, I've been stitching on Chatelaine's Winter Watergarden. Here's part one stitched on 28 ct Monaco with all the silks converted to HDF

Homage

It's been a quiet Saturday here. I've spent most of it stitching on Homage to Japan from the Sticklounge group.

Since this one is caught up again for another week, I'm going to try and get started on Purple Garden. I don't think it will take very long but looks have been deceiving before. I'm debating whether I want to pull out Frosty Knotgarden and try and finish it soon, or start on Winter Watergarden.

Decisions, decisions.

Done!

I just finished Caribbean! I started it with the group as the 2009 Mystery and it is finally done. Before I left work today I started looking at frames from some online vendors. I've seen this stitched on white with a gold frame and I'm thinking of a gold and black frame. What do you think?
