10/12/25

 I've hit a couple of pretty big milestones on Loneliness of Autumn.  It is now 99.61% complete and there are only 9972 stitches to go.

I've pulled out my Fall Pumpkin Patch for some easy stitching.

10/11/25

 I've finished page 26 and 32 of Loneliness of Autumn.  It's now 89.24% complete.

I'm not done working on this one yet.  I've completed 2372 tent/1186 full x stitches so far this month.  To leave just 5000 tent stitches per month for November and December, I need to add another 2780 tent stitches which should put me just over 5000 tent stitches for October.  My house will be quiet for the next week or so which means my stitchy time has increased just a bit.  In a perfect world, I could get all those stitches done this weekend but I'm probably going to continue a bit into next week.

I have been making a little progress on Loara too.  I would really love to get band 8 finished this weekend too.

My Fall Pumpkin Patch has gotten a little attention during breaks at work.  I've had my stand set up on my desk and have added a few stitches, 10 minutes at a time.

I've met my October goal for Warrior Alice with 2080 tent /1040 full x stitches and 66.22% complete

Loara Standish is back out now as I attempt to finish band 8.  I only have three more leaves and three flowers to fill in.  I'm very excited to move onto another band.

 I've met my October goal for Her Private Garden with 1058 tent/529 full x stitches and 6.23% complete.

To be honest, I had hoped that this month's 1000 tent stitches would get me closer to finishing page 3 but I really underestimated how many stitches were left.  Maybe next month.

Next, I'm going to add a leaf or two to Loara then pull out Warrior Alice for her October stitches.

 I've met my October goal for Sea Witch with 1118 tent/559 full x stitches and 39.49% complete.  This also completes page 15.

 I thought I'd update my September progress on two WIPs that haven't really met a goal.

Fall Pumpkin Patch has seen 323 stitches and is quickly moving along.  I have added a few stitches this morning just because nothing else was really calling.

Loara Standish has seen 1272 stitches and I'm getting so close to having band 8 done so I can move onto some double running stitch rather than long armed cross stitch in all directions.  I'm going to keep plugging away at her, even if it is just one leaf an evening.

Sea Witch is out.  I'm planning on a page finish this month.

This weekend, I met my 2025 goal for Ann Grimshaw with 656 stitches

and Matilda Isabella Creasy with 522 stitches.

I've picked Loara Standish back up to try and finish the band I've been working on.

While I was looking for something else this weekend, I discovered I have finished the other two Paragon kits  - Summer Berry Patch and Winter Quilt and Patch.

Once I have them all done, they're going to be visiting with some Oxyclean, I think to see if I can get the discoloration out.

9/26/25 the second

 I've met my 2025 goal for Dragon Lord from Paine Free Crafts with 1104 tent/552 full x stitches and 9.13% complete.

I think Ann Grimshaw from The Scarlett Letter will be out next.

 I'm still plugging away on Dragon Lord but I wanted to show a super old WIP I recently found in my home office.  I've had this set of kits forever and I've finished at least 2 of them. 

Here's the one that's on the wall.  I think the other one is in with the rest of my finishes.

 I remember having this with me at one of my oldest kid's early t-ball games which means the WIP is 18 years, or so, old.  The aida a couple of discolored spots, but hopefully that will come out when it gets a quick bath after it's finished.  If not, well, it is kind of old.  Age spots aren't totally unexpected.

It's barely started but I put it into a bigger q-snap and set it up in a lap frame so it's a little easier to just add a few stitches when I have a free moment during a meeting or something.

 I've met my 2025 goal on Trick or Treat from Paine Free Crafts with 1064 tent/532 full x stitches and 8.22% complete

Dragon Lord, also from Paine Free Crafts is out next.

 It might be a challenge to see where I've added them, but I've added 1040 tent/520 full x stitches to Plague Doctor.  It is now 2.2% complete.

I do have to note that I seem to be a fan of confetti heavy charts.

 I've completed the other half of my goal for Warrior Alice with an additional 1014 tent/507 full x stitches for a total of 2160 tent/1080 full x stitches in September.  She is now 64.83% complete.

Plague Doctor from Unconventional XStitch is out next.

 Over the weekend, I added two more flowers to my current band of Loara Standish.  I wish I could have managed the last one, but it will wait until the next time I pick it up and hopefully be able to finish this band.

Warrior Alice is out next.  When I had her out earlier this month, I forgot that my goal is 2000 tent stitches instead of the 1000 that most of my WIPs are supposed to get this year.  

9/20/25

I didn't quite meet my original goal for Loneliness of Autumn this month.  But my stopping point resulted in only having 15,152 stitches remaining with means I only have to add about 5051 tent stitches in October, November and December to see a finish.  While I'm excited to see a finish, I'm ready to take a break since I've added 5394 tent stitches already this month and I've only got about 300 left to actually meet my goal.  I'm going to call it a win and move on.

I was debating picking up Loara or Alice again since I haven't actually met my goal on either one of them this month.  I spun a wheel and pulled Loara.  So she's out now and I'd really like to get at least another flower stitched if not all of them and all the other bits and pieces in this bank in the next day or so before I put her away.

 

9/17/25

 I've finished pages 25 and 31 of Loneliness of Autumn which brings it to 85.81% complete.  Ive also passed 100,000 stitches into this project. 

I have another 2000ish tent stitches left to meet my stitch goal for this project.

 This month, I added 2216 tent/1108 full x stitches as I work to catch myself up to meet my goal for SS Daybreak.  It's now 2.87% complete.

Loneliness of Autumn is out next.

 I've met my September goal for Sea Witch.  I could have kept it out and finished of the page, but I was done and it was time to rotate.  I added 1080 tent/540 full x stitches and this is now 39.10% complete.

SS Daybreak is out now for it's 1000 tent stitches this month.

 I've met my  September goal for Warrior Alice with 1146 tent/ 573 full x stitches for 64.15% complete.

Sea Witch is next.  Ishould be getting very close to a page finish.

9/6/25

 Ive met my September goal for Her Private Garden with 1060 tent/530 full x stitches and 5.95% complete.

I had hoped to complete page three this month but there are way more stitches left in page two than I thought.  I did however find the edge of a wing and the edge of the page so I have a better idea how far I need to go for page three.

Warrior Alice is next.  I'll probably spend my 1000 storches on her right striped stocking.

 I've made a little bit of progress on Loara Standish, not nearly as much as I would like but every little bit counts.  That first partial flower on the left took two days for the stitch path to click since this is being stitched reversibly.  Then the second full flower took just a couple hours last night.

I do plan to pick this back up later this month to keep working on this band.

 I've added another 2340 stitches to Heritage Sampler.

I would really like to pull this out again this month and maybe finish that central garden.

Next is Loara Standish.   I would like to get the flowers in band 8 completed.

 While stitching with friends last night, I met my goal for Pour Ta Fete from Lindsay Lane Designs with 525 stitches.

Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler came out next and we talked about the personalization im planning and what stitch I should use for the berries in the bottom right corner.  Here's the result.

The color called for to backstitch the berries didn't look good so I pulled three possibilities.  I planning on the one on the right.

 I've met my goal for Alice Bierton by Samplers Remembered with 522 stitches.

The 56 ct linen is a challenge but I enjoyed those stitches.

 I've met my goal for Sarah Elizabeth Brooke with 579 stitches.

I almost kept going with the border of this one but there are other WIPs to visit.  Maybe I'll make it back to visit this one again this year.

 I've met my goal for Ann Roberts with 544 stitches.

She's a much smaller sampler than I thought she was, or, she appears that way since she's on 46 count linen.

 I added more stitches to Steampunk Portal yesterday, then had to switch to another project.  Here's where it currently sits with 408 tent/204 full x stitches than it had last time it was out.

It looks awesome in the photo.  I just wish I was more inclined to stitch on it.

The Castle from Teresa Wentzler came out next and I've met my goal for it with 522 stitches.  

It was kind of iffy there for a while too.  But I think adding some of the greens instead of more wall colors helped move things along.  I'd like to revisit this one again this year to move it along.  It's been over 20 years since Mother Nature decided I didn't need the first one I stitched.  I'd like to get this one complete.

Ann Roberts from HATS is out next.  I think I've decided to add some border which is just two colors.

8/23/25

 I didn't reach my August goal for Sea Witch last night as I'd hoped but I did meet it this morning.

Here she is with an additional 1204 tent stitches/602 full x stitches and 38.73% complete.

I'm hoping to have page 15 finished in September but it may be October.  Page 16 may yet be this year as well since a good bit of the black that I'm stitching on page 15 is on page 16 up to the dragon's jaw so it's being stitched at the same time.

I've pulled out Steampunk Portal, HAED's 2025 SAL to make some progress andI'm not really feeling all the confetti.  I'm going to pull another color or two and see if that changes, but that may be coming off the qsnaps in favor of another WIP.

 I completed August's goal for Her Private Garden last night with 1346 tent/673 full x stitches and 5.66% complete.

Sea Witch is out now and may see her August goal met tonight.

 I've met my August goal for Warrior Alice with page 26 and 2296 tent/1148 full x stitches.

 I've met my goal for this month on SS Daybreak and am slowly catching back up for this year.  

I've added 2068 tent/1034 full cross stitches bringing me up to 2.58% complete.

There's still some tree in page 3 but I'm hoping it stitches up much faster since most of the page is sky.

Warrior Alice is out next.  The White Rabbit's head will be finished this month!

 Last night, I finished page 2 of SS Daybreak.  It's  now 2.48% complete.

It's been a long time coming.  I went back through this blog and checked.  I finished page 1 on 12/20/2015.  So not quite 10 years for page 2.  I'm hoping to pick up the pace just a bit.

SS Daybreak is staying out just a little longer.  I've finished the goal for one month, but I'm still behind so I'm hoping to finish the goal for a second month tonight or tomorrow.

 August's goal is met for The Loneliness of Autumn with 5698 tent/2849 full x stitches and 82.71% complete.

I'm so close to the lower left corner but still not quite there.  The stitches that were left to meet my monthly goal went super quick with lots of block stitching which are uncommon in this WIP.

SS Daybreak is up next.  I would love to see a page finish this month.

Sunday, I finished pages 24 and 25 of Loneliness of Autumn which made it 81.28% complete.

By the end of the night, I'd added a bunch more stitches and got to 81.67%

Does anyone else ever decide they don't want to watch anything new to them?  So you pull up a movie you've watched a bunch of times so you can just listen while you stitch?

 On August 1, I pulled out Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler and added 2043 stitches.  

I would have added more, but I got hung up on what stitch the grapes in the lower right are supposed to be.  Martina didn't spell that out.  The pattern looks like it could be an eyelet which may be what I add.  Other stitchers, from the pictures on the Chatelaine Gallery and from the Chatelaine Support Group on Facebook stitched the same jessica stitches that were used in the upper left.  Once I figure it out, I may come back to this project this month.  Or it may just marinate until September.

 Goal met for Ann Tong Uffindell from Hands Across the Sea with 776 stitches and the main part of the border is done.  It was off a stitch somewhere, but I won't tell if you won't.

 I'm still behind on my goal for SS Daybreak but I've added another 1006 tent/503 full x stitches

I was hopeful I would be able to finish page two but it wasn't going to happen.  Maybe the next time I pull it out.
