Garden Verses and 2 FFO's

Over the last week, I've continued to make progress on Garden Verses.  Here's a picture from Saturday when I moved my qsnaps.

I've since almost finished the purple, but I don't have another picture.

I also decided to frame a couple of pieces.  I started out with four but didn't like the frames for two of them once I brought them upstairs.  But two is better than what I had.

Both were frames purchased from Michaels, probably during a sale.  I tend to pick up square frames even if I don't know what I"m going to use them for.  The mat for FoF 79 started out white but I didn't like it with the stitching and the frame so I painted it black and speckled it with some silver.  I think it turned out pretty nice.

A Stitcher's Heart

So this chart has been in my stash for years.  I bought it at Hobby Lobby on clearance years ago.  I don't even remember whether it was here or with my MIL in Oklahoma.  If I would have realized how fast it stitched up, I would have done it sooner.  But it is done now.

I'm pleased with how it turned out.  

After I put this one away, I pulled out Woodland Wonder by Glendon Place.  I didn't get very far, just a few stitches so no picture today.

This weekend, I bought some fabric and fusible fleece.  I'm going to attempt some project bags to keep my WIPs in instead of a pillowcase.  I'll let you know how those turn out.

Zenia update

I'm hoping this will be the last update on Zenia.

I've already been thinking about whether to pull out a WIP or start something new.  Over the last couple of weeks, I've been going through some of my stash and I found this.

A Stitcher's Heart by Sekas & Co.

I bought this from Hobby Lobby years ago on clearance.  It's charted for 11 count Aida with pinks.  I'm not buying 11 ct Aida so I shopped my stash and found a piece of opalescent fabric I think I bought from ebay.  I don't know what count it is but I think it is probably at least a 28 ct.  I converted the pinks to blues to match my taste and here's my floss toss

I haven't decided on bead color yet.  I need to figure out if I have enough of the blue since I like them better in the picture.

I also have Glendon Place's Woodland Wonder that is kitted and ready to go too.
