3/1/26

Yesterday was a very productive day.  I met up with the Cornhusker State Stitchers for some stitchy fun.  We've made plans for some new starts with the upcoming Nashville releases.  I think we're planning to start Plum Street Samplers Pledge of Allegiance first and I've asked Vicki at Hand-Dyed Fibers if she would convert everything to silk.  Now I just need to go pull some fabric.

Yesterday, I've also met my goals for Louisa Coulimore from Hands Across the Sea with 507 stitches.  I've officially finished the alphabets and have started the second half the sampler.

Today, I've met my goal for Death By Cross Stitch with 597 stitches and Patter Keeper tells me it is now 8.97% complete.  500 stitch goals just doesn't make a huge amount of progress.  This is probably something I should revisit again this year.

Harriet Godhard 1817 from Hands Across the Sea is out now for it's March progress stitches.

Yesterday, after I put Quaker Tiles away, I picked up Louisa Coulimore from Hands Across the Sea and added another 446 stitches.

Sea Witch is out now for another 1000 tent stitches.

10/2/24

One 9/30, I pulled out Louisa Coulimore and unfortunately, while I didn't get a lot of progress, 92 stitches is 92 more than were there before.

2/6/24

I've picked up a couple of WIPs recently.   Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler got some stitches.  I havent mey my goal yet but I'll pull it out again and finish my stitches.

Louisa Coulimore came out next and I've met my goal.

Louisa may come out again this year.  I'd like to finish the top half.

5/22/23

I've pulled out a few WIPs since I met my May goal of Master.

Two of them had the goal of just being touched this year with no firm goal in mind.

Louisa Coulimore from HATS

and Alice Bierton 1885 from Samplers Remembered

Then I pulled out Un Ricomo per Rinascere from Mirabilia and should finish the bottom half of the chart yet today.

My plan right now is once the bottom is done, to pull Mermaid of the Deep back out for it's May stitches, then the Mirabilia goes back on to finish.  We'll see what happens.

A week ago, I finished the second corner of part 4 of Hawaii.   These give a nice pop of bright against the black fabric.

I took a break from Hawaii to work on Louisa Coulimore and met my goal on her for this year.

I've gone back to Hawaii hoping to finish the 2nd half of part for in the next couple of weeks.

I've met this year's goal for Louisa Coulimore with two more alphabets.  I'm hoping to pull her out again this year.

Chatelaine's Hawaiian Mandala is out next.

2/28/21

Coat of Arms came out of my WIP pile on January 31, 2021.  I didn't think it would take all of February to see it complete, or as complete as I'm stitching but it did.

I was planning to pull out The Mermaid of Salem Bay but she'll just have to wait a little while longer.

Louisa Coulimore is back out for a little while.

3/23/2020

I finished the first alphabet and started the next last night, then hit a wall and had to put it up.

I haven't decided what I'll pull out next.  I have Chatelaine's Blue Moroccan Lace out, waiting for me.  I've also been thinking about another monochrome Stickideen Von Der Wiehenburg's Coat of Arms which would be easy to work on in the evenings when I can't think any more after work.

I made some lovely progress on Louisa this week.  Sadly, it was all made yesterday.

The first row of alphabet is complete and I've now found both sides.

Hopefully, after I finish this alphabet, the remaining smaller less ornate alphabets will move quicker.

3/3/2020

I think my stitchy bug has decided I've abandoned it since work has been crazy with a couple 80+ hour weeks at the end of February.  Such is the life in an accounting firm during tax season.

The little bit of stitching I've been doing has been hit and miss.  I have had trouble settling on any one piece of stitching to make any real progress on it.

I made some really nice progress on Cherry Hollow Farm Sampler by Stacy Nash, then got over the berries.

Then, I pulled out Celtic Snow from Norther Expressions and finished this corner.  Then didn't want to stitch on it any more.

Heritage Sampler from Chatelaine was up next.  I added a little then couldn't handle color changes.

After:

Then I pulled out Louisa Coulimore last night and added 60 stitches and felt pretty good about it so maybe there will be more tonight.

9/9/19

Sea Witch is still out and I've completed all the black on this page.  I struggled a little bit with some of my counting but I found the issue and corrected it so I'm hoping for a page finish in the next couple of days.

I did some stash organizing Saturday and came upstairs with a few things I'd like to work on, mostly to work on some more of my annual goals but at least one because I want to work on it.

Cherry Hill Farm Sampler by Stacy Nash:  when I started this, I oriented the center basket the wrong way on the kit fabric.  I need to rip this out and restitch.

Louisa Coulimore from Hands Across the Sea:  I really like this one and would like to have more progress

Polar Mandala by Chatelaine:  I'd like to add a couple more colors.  This center part is huge and over one so any progress is good.

He Came with the Rain by Unconventional XS:  My goal this year is page two and the pages are small so it shouldn't take long.
