 The final goal I met in January is for Chatelaine's Polar Mandala.

I added 1171 stitches and milled in the upper left corner.  I need to work on this more or I'm going to be working on the center forever.  After I meet all of my goals this year, this is a WIP I plan to bring out again for some more love.

Harriet Godherd 1817 from HATS is out now to complete the section of the chart assigned from the Facebook group Our Sampler Years - Yesterday's Needlework for Today.

4/28/25

 I had a productive weekend and met my 2025 goals for two WIPs.

Sunday morning, I met my goal for Polar Mandala with 1044 stitches

Then, I pulled out The Forgotten from Charting Creations and added 1050 tent/525 full x stitches resulting in 15.04% complete.

Chatelaine's Blue Moroccan Lace is out next.

 I've added 586 stitches to Polar Mandala.

I'm thinking about making this one of my monthly stitches next year to hopefully get closer to finish the center and move on to another part.

Her Private Garden is next.

 Chatelaine's Polar Mandala wasn't out as long as I'd hoped but I added almost 1100 stitches.

Then Ann Tong Uffindell from HATS  came out.  My original goal was page 2 but I couldn't face the iver 1 on 46ct so I added a bunch of border instead.

Now I have Winter Rose Manor by Brenda Gervais out and this has to be one of the smallest starts I've made.

Polar Mandala from Chatelaine made an appearance .  The center is now about 1/4 complete.  The rest should go quicker though since that bottom left corner has a lot of color changes and rest is more blocks of color.

Then I've not been able to settle on something g to stitch.

Ann Bowers has been out and saw a little progress.

I started restitching TW"s The Castle.  I originally stitched those 30ish years ago.  It was framed and hung over my son's crib when it was taken by a tornado.  It's taken almost 20 years for me to decide to restitch.  I didn't get much of a start but its ready when I am.

Finally Chatelaine's Evening in the Park came out and felt pretty good so I hope to continue with it.

It's been a bit and I've made progress on several projects.  Just having problems settling down with a project, or two, and making some progress.

I've had Chatelaine's Polar Mandala out for.  I'm still plugging away in the center.  I've added about 1500 stitches this time.

Then, Hawaiian Garden came out.  My goal this year is to finish all four volcanos.  Hopefully it comes back out later this year.

My youngest son's stocking was out next and got about 2600 stitches.  I'm hoping next time it comes out I can get another big chunk of it done.  

And finally, Saturday, I gave in and started Mary Clayton from Hands Across the Sea on 40 ct Autumn Blush from Silkweaver with DMC.  This is almost all of page 1.

I plan on keeping Mary out till I get tired of her.  The big house starts in the next page so I hope to at least make a big dent in it.

Sea Witch is still out and I've completed all the black on this page.  I struggled a little bit with some of my counting but I found the issue and corrected it so I'm hoping for a page finish in the next couple of days.

I did some stash organizing Saturday and came upstairs with a few things I'd like to work on, mostly to work on some more of my annual goals but at least one because I want to work on it.

Cherry Hill Farm Sampler by Stacy Nash:  when I started this, I oriented the center basket the wrong way on the kit fabric.  I need to rip this out and restitch.

Louisa Coulimore from Hands Across the Sea:  I really like this one and would like to have more progress

Polar Mandala by Chatelaine:  I'd like to add a couple more colors.  This center part is huge and over one so any progress is good.

He Came with the Rain by Unconventional XS:  My goal this year is page two and the pages are small so it shouldn't take long.

Page 25

I did manage to finish page 25 of Lust last week.  I put in a few stitches on Lust Sunday, but I decided to pull Polar out to be my focus for a few days.  I'm thinking about putting Polar away at the end of the month and working on He Came With the Rain from Unconventional XS.  The pages are small and I'm tenting so it would be a nice change from teeny tiny full x. Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler is also upstairs and may see some progress.  Someone on the Chatelaine Support group recently finished theirs and it's gorgeous!

Lust and all the 939

Here's my progress this week.  Most of my progress is on Lust but there is a bit on Polar Mandala too since I needed a break from DMC 939.  The final picture shows my progress on Lust as of last night.  There are about 13 rows below the main stitching on page 25 so I'm hoping for a page finish this week.

I am doing the 100 Days of HAED challenge and so far I've successfully added my pictures for days 10 and 20.  When I originally added my pictures to the Day 0 post in the Facebook group, I also added information for Sea Witch, planning to change projects at 50 days.  If I can keep up this progress without burning out on this project, I may just decide to keep it out.  I would absolutely love to finish 3 pages this year.  I have 10 full pages and 5 partial pages left.  If I decide I've had enough, I'll rotate to Sea Witch and tenting which will give me progress much faster even if it means I'll be sticking with dark colors since the top half of the page is all 310.

Polar and Lust

I made a little progress on Polar Mandala since the beginning of the month, but it hasn't been touched for a while.  I've kept it out though, just in case the mood strikes.

I've made lots of progress on Lust this month.  One of the first things I did was take the black in the border all the way to the bottom of the chart and it fits!!  There are a couple of inches below the border.  I planned for three but since the fabric shrunk a little when I dyed it and I don't think I accounted for that when I started.  I'll take two.  It's way better than some of the options!

Here's where I am as of last night.  I think I've finished about a quarter of this page.  There have been a few nights where I don't get a lot done though so this is good.

As much fun as this is to work on, other projects call my name.

Page 4

Tuesday night saw the end of page 4 of Old European Sampler.

I'm working on page 5 and hope to have it done in the next night or so.

Once that's done, I think I'm going to pull out Chatelaine's Polar Mandala for the weekend and a little color before the 100 day HAED challenge starts and I go to reds.

1.16.18 update

I'm still working on Polar Mandala.  When I quit for the day last night, I had completed 3056 stitches out of 28,900 stitches in part 1 which is only 10.57% completed **gasp**  

I think I'm going to give this one a break for a bit.  I brought Irish Chain and Mirabilia's Garden Verses back upstairs last night.  I think I'm going to pick out the green vines in the border since it looks too dense on 28 ct 1x1 and I think I like the simpler look without it.

We'll see how it goes.

Polar Mandala

Since tax season has started at work and I'm already working 55 hours plus per week, my stitching time is suffering.  But I have made progress on Polar Mandala.

I'm starting to feel a little burned out on over one stitching so I may be rotating to something else.  But for right now, I'm going to stick with this.
