 I'm starting to get excited about starting with my oldest WIPs again and seeing how far I can get through them again this year.

But first, I need to finish meeting my last couple of goals on the WIPs I haven't touched yet.

I met my goal for Away We Ride yesterday.  I'm still second guessing myself on converage, but I think it will be ok the way it is.

I met this goal with 520 stitches.

Hagatha's Orange Hat from Just Nan is out next.  I'm getting very close to finishing the cone of the hat so I can move over to the brim.

9/22/26

I met my Spyember goal for Sea Witch with 2140 tent/1070 full x stirches which brought her to 46.68% complete.

Away We Ride from Autumn Lane is out next.

9/19/26

 I've completed pages 39/45 of Warrior Alice and she's now 93.05% complete.

Since this leaves three full and 3 partial pages, my plan is to complete a full and a partial page every month which still gives me a finish in December.  This month, I added 3872 tent/1936 full stitches.

Then, I pulled out Harriet Godhard for her September stitches and completed 669 stitches to meet her goal.

Sea Witch is my final monthly goal let to meet this month and she is out now.

Its been a productive September so far.

I've completed part 7 of Chatelaine's Hawaiian Garden

and I've completed pages 38/44 and Alice is now 90.73% complete.

Alice remains out to continue with her monthly stitch goals.

 I've met my September goal for SS Daybreak and almost got another page finish but I was done stitching white on white.  It'll be first next month.

I added 2246 tent/1123 full x stitches which brought it to 6.28% complete.

 Heritage Sampler is officially moving off my WIP list.

It's finally done after 11 years.

I've added more beads than were charted and a cube in the middle of the bottom garden.  I may end up adding some bicones that appear to have been charted but weren't included in the materials list.

When we last met, I was going to pull out Away We Ride, and I did.  But I only added 11 stitches and the DMC 310, even on 40 ct dyed linen, isn't making me happy.  I've got some Anchor black in the bag, so I need to give it a try to see if the coverage is any better.

Next out was Pledge of Allegiance and I added 2044 stitches to it.  I am just above the page break going to the last set of pages which should be totally doable over the course of the next three months.

Yesterday, I put Loara Standish back on my q-snaps and made some great progress on the current band.  Could I have finished the band today?  Yes.  Did I want to?  No, I should be able to finish this band next month and get at least a start on the next one in October.

I pulled Heritage Sampler out last night and got it on the frame.  I have what I'm using on either side of the bottom garden charted,  Since it's backstitch, it shouldn't take long.  then I just need to finish the charted beads and decide if I want to pull some bicones out of stash and get her finished.

 I've met my goal for Steampunk Portal with 1132 tent/566 full x stitches and 7.69% complete.

Away We Ride from Autumn Lane Stitchery is out next.  I was debating frogging the black stitches, but when I pulled it out this morning, I think it will be fine.

 I've met a couple more of my 2026 goals.  I think I'm down to two or three annual goals which is awesome.  It lets me start back through my WIPs while I continue working on monthly goals.

I added 1038 tent/519 full x stitches to Catfish Cthulhu from Unconventional XStitch bringing it to 2.71% compete.

I also added 556 stitches to "Richard's Stocking" from Shepherds Bush which is for my husband, eventually.  I converted the coat color to one I had in stash which turns out to be a #8 perle rather than the #5 called for.  I think it turned out fine. 

I'm into my 2025 starts now with Steampunk Portal which was the 2025 HAED SAL.

 It's been a rough couple of days here.  My 12 year old German Shepherd crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon which has been hard on all of us.  I took her to the emergency vet in town since they have a relationship with a pet crematorium and said my final good byes to her there.

She's been my constant companion while I've been WFH the last 6 years and it's going to be more than a little lonely with her missing from the hallway outside my office.  I just took this picture a few days ago while I was grilling supper.

Ok, onto something happy or I'm going to sit here and cry.

I met my goal for Our Path of Light from Uncomventional XStitch with 1042 tent/521 full x stitches and 3.7% complete.

Catfish Cthulhu is out next and I'm hoping to meet it's goal later today or tomorrow.

 Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler has been out for the last few days.  I've added the year in the personalization at the top and I've gotten maybe 2/3 of the beading complete.  Then I hit a wall.

I've charted what I'm going to add on either side of the garden at the bottom so a finish is my goal for next month.

Our Path of Light from Unconventional XStitch is out next.

 I've met my August goal for Warrior Alice with 4074 tent/2037 full x stitches and 90.45% complete.

These two pages aren't quite done, but I was ready to move on.

Beading on Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler has started.

This afternoon, ive finished pages 37 and 43 of Warrior Alice,  she's now 88.58% complete.

Hopefully the picture shows up better for you then what it does for me right now.

 I've met my August goal for Harriet Godherd with 755 stitches.

I was reminded that I can't count, but by the time I noticed I wasn't going to frog and just kept stitching.  The differences make it mine.

I've met a couple more goals for August with  2186 tent/1093 full x stitches and 11.57 % complete for Her Private Garden from HAED.

I've also added 1585 stitches to Pledge of Allegiance from Plum Street Samplers.

 Yesterday, I finished page 18 of Sea Witch which had her at 45.89% complete.

then, tonight, I finished my stitches for August which ended up being 2100 tent/1050 full x stitches and 46.07% complete.

 Saturday, I met my August goal for Chatelaine's Hawaiian Garden with 2129 stitches on part 7.

And this morning, I finished page 17 of Sea Witch.  Page 18 is also very close to being finished and will probably be complete later today.

 Yesterday, I met my August goal for SS Daybreak with 2346 tent/1173 full x stitches and it's now 5.98% complete.  I had an outstanding stitchy day even though work interfered with my time.

I've made pretty good progress on Loara Standish.  

She kept me company all weekend.  But, I needed to put her away since this band is kind of slow for me.  She will return again though, maybe later this month or next month.  I do want to complete the current band and possibly the next two.

 I've met my goal for Summer Moon from Plum Street Samplers with 674 stitches.

I should have probably finished the roof but, I kept finding myself doom scrolling so I put it away.

Instead of pulling out one of my monthly WIPs, I pulled out Loara Standish who has been calling my name.  When I put her away the last time, I was kind of frustrated with starting/stopping threads on a reversable WIP on 56 ct.  I just decided to keep moving and see what happens.  Here's tonight's progress so far

 I've met my goal for Together We Stand with 1062 tent/531 full x stitches and 3.64% complete.  I've found the bottom of the page but since its in such light colors, it's hard to see.

Today, I've met my goal for my Quaker Tiles Flag from the Vivsters with 598 stitches.

I added some more of the outline and the two red tiles.  This one needs to be revisited after I touch all my WIPs.

Together We Stand from HAED is next.  I still have some feelings associated with this one, but I bought the chart before those people were invited into my life and I'll continue it long after they're gone from it.  Well, since they are not part of my life anymore, of course long after they're gone from it. 

This project needs to see progress.

 I've met my goal for Ms. Gothica II from Tilton Crafts with 1092 tent/546 full x stitches and 2.74% complete

2.74% doesn't seem like a like a lot of progress, but the black stitching at the bottom is almost to the bottom of page 1.  I'm not sure how much of the detail from the art will be visible when all the spaces are filled in, but I'm looking forward to what happens.

Quaker Tiles from the Vivsters is out next.  I was debating on filling in another blue tile, but I think, since I have a lot of outlining done, I'm going to move down to the first row of red and fill in some more tiles.

 I've met my July goal for Warrior Alice with 4138 tent/2069 full x stitches and 87.72% complete.

I really thought about finishing this page, but decided I was done for now.

Ms. Gothica II from Tilton Crafts is out next.  I'm getting really close to the end of my WIP list which is awesome.  Then I will choose which WIPs to give some extra love to this year.

I've met my July goal for Harriet Godhard with 781 stitches

and last night I completed page 36 of Warrior Alice.  She's now 85.69% complete.

I have about 3000 stitches to go to meet my July goal so lets see how much of pages 37/43 that completes.

 Yesterday, I met my July goal for Her Private Garden with page 5, 2550 tent/1275 full x stitches and 10.99% complete.  I knew I'd met my stitch count goal and was done otherwise; I should have just added enough stitches to get to 11%.

The brown shape at the bottom of the page is the angel's (is that what she is?) head.  So maybe, next year I'll come back and start filling that in.

Two more pages to go to complete the first row.  Will I manage to get them done this year?

 I've finished the last horizontal row of personalization on Heritage Sampler with 611 stitches..

I need to finalize/chart the remaining personalization for either side of the bottom garden and "26" for the top garden to complete the year there.  Then all I'll have left is all the beading.

 I'm met my July goal for Sea Witch with 2066 tent stitches/1033 full x stitches and 45.34% complete.

Chatelaine's Heritage Sampler is out to finish another line of personalization.  I'm still debating what I'm going to add to the last bit around the bottom garden but I think I've settled on "Family is...Everything".  But should that be in script or the same font as the rest of the personalization?  Not sure yet.

This morning, I met my June goal for Hawaii with 1930 stitches and I finished part 6.

Pledge of Allegiance from Plum Street Samplers is out now since the Fourth of July is tomorrow and it just seemed appropriate.
