8/29/24

I've added an additional 567 stitches to Hawaii.   I really need to just buckle down and finish this part so I can move onto the scenes.

SS Daybreak from HAED is next.

6/4/23

After my finish, I had a day to work on something.  I pulled Chatelaine's Hawaiian Garden Mandala.   My goal for this is to finish part 5 which I didn't complete and I think I'm going to have to revise some of my goals for this year.

Master is back out now for his June stitches.  The section I'm in is super confetti heavy but I'm hoping to finish the page in a few days.

3/28/22

I finally met my goal on Hawaii and finished part 4 yesterday.

I've got a small start in part 5 so we'll see how far it gets.

3/14/22

A week ago, I finished the second corner of part 4 of Hawaii.   These give a nice pop of bright against the black fabric.

I took a break from Hawaii to work on Louisa Coulimore and met my goal on her for this year.

I've gone back to Hawaii hoping to finish the 2nd half of part for in the next couple of weeks.

I've made lots of progress since there hasn't been any major frogging.   Here's the upper left corner.

And my current progress on the upper right corner.

2/16/22

Last week, I was happily stitching away on part 4 of Hawaii when I discovered I had duplicated a row of stitching which meant everything I'd stitched for part 4 had to come out.

It took me a big chunk of Sunday to accomplish but outs all out.  Bit I couldn't face restitching everything quite yet.

Instead I pulled out Growth Rings by Ink Circles for some love.

11/7/21

 Oops!  It's been a minute.

Here's where I ended #outofthestashatlast2021 with Sarah Redfearn

After I put Sarah away, I went back to Eva

To take a short break from Eva I picked up Hawaii.  I've finished the third volcano and started on the 4th and I'm hoping to finish it in the next week or so.

Then Eva will come back and will hopefully be finished by the end of the month.

8/8/21

At the beginning of this week, I wasn't really feeling Sea Witch so I would put some stitches in then work on volcano #3 of Hawaiian Garden.   That lasted three days then turned into just Sea Witch.

8/2/21 - 108 stitches

8/3/21 - 29 stitches

8/4/21 - 72 stitches

8/5/21 - 121 stitches

8/6/21 - 250 stitches

8/7/21 - 257 stitches

8/8/21 - 364 stitches

I think I have all the black stitched on the border and I'm ready to add some color.

3/22/21

I finished my second volcano on Hawaii Saturday.

I am planning on coming back to Hawaii this year but not right now.

Ann Bowers from The Examplarery was out next.

I have a hard time getting into a rhythm with this since the kit threads are cut too short IMO.  But progress is progress.

Next out is HATS Sarah Breazier.

6/1/2020

It's been a bit and I've made progress on several projects.  Just having problems settling down with a project, or two, and making some progress.

I've had Chatelaine's Polar Mandala out for.  I'm still plugging away in the center.  I've added about 1500 stitches this time.

Then, Hawaiian Garden came out.  My goal this year is to finish all four volcanos.  Hopefully it comes back out later this year.

My youngest son's stocking was out next and got about 2600 stitches.  I'm hoping next time it comes out I can get another big chunk of it done.

And finally, Saturday, I gave in and started Mary Clayton from Hands Across the Sea on 40 ct Autumn Blush from Silkweaver with DMC.  This is almost all of page 1.

I plan on keeping Mary out till I get tired of her.  The big house starts in the next page so I hope to at least make a big dent in it.

11/11/19

I finished Needleworker last Monday evening.  This picture is kind of dark, but I'm happy with the result.

I picked Hawaii back up with the goal of finishing part 2.  I didn't quite meet my goal, but I'm close.

I haven't added the backstitches in the tops of the pineapples yet because I'm not sure what color I want to use.  Black is charted but won't show up well so I'm thinking about a dark blue/green PTB

After I finish this part, I'm thinking of pulling The Master out for a length of thread to meet my goal on it before I go back to Earth Song.

11/4/19

I came so very close to a finish last night.

This is when I moved my qsnaps the last time.  I added the very bottom of the "r" before I had to call it quits.

Today, over lunch at work, I'm hoping to get this finished.

I did make some progress on Hawaii last week.

I'm probably going to focus on this for a few more days to see how much more progress I can make.

A pineapple and rotation

This is my progress on Hawaii since my last post.  I finished the rhodes stitches in the pineapple while waiting for a track meet to start and that's as far as I got.  I just couldn't do any more for now.  I do love how the berries (or whatever they are) in the leaves turned out though!

Garden Verses was still sitting on the coffee table patiently waiting when I put Hawaii away so she went back on the qsnaps.  I put almost 1000 stitches into the balustrade yesterday so I would call it a win.  I'm hoping to get to the railing in the next couple of nights so I can move back over and hopefully work towards finishing this one this month.

Hawaii part 1

Last night, I finally finished part 1 of Chatelaine's Hawaiian Mandala.
That is a big center!  All the open black parts are for beads/cubes/bicones.  This will sparkle when I'm done!!  Hawaii is staying out for a bit.  I'm excited to move onto the pineapples of part 2.

Hawaii 4/23/18

Saturday night, I completed the top half of part 1 of Hawaiian Mandala.  This is so pretty!

Then I flipped it all over in the qsnap and started working on the other side.  This is my progress as of last night.

Hawaii

It's been a busy week and I almost forgot to post an update.

This is where I was Sunday.

Hawaii 4/9/18

Still making progress...this was yesterday afternoon when I had to move my qsnaps.

And this was the end of the evening.  All those empty spaces in the blue are for beads!

4/3/18 Hawaii

I made some nice progress last week and into the weekend.  Slow and steady!
Dang!  There's a couple missed stitches.

3/26/18 update

I guess my stitchy bug has taken a vacation so I've been bouncing from project to project trying to find one to catch my attention.

Here's where I left Blue Moroccan Lace.

And I picked up Earth Song.  I am not in the mood for over 1 right now, especially on 25 ct Lugana.
Before:

After.  I think I may have put in a couple hundred stitches.

When I went downstairs to dig through my WIPs I originally pulled Old European Sampler but I couldn't find the pattern.  So it became a choice between Chatelaine's Hawaiian Mandala and The Heritage Sampler.  Hawaii won out.  It has to be warm there, right?
Before:

and where I finished last night.
