10/27/20

Last night I had a page finish on Old European Sampler.   I'm hoping its not the last one in 2020!

This is the final week of #outofthestashatlast and I decided to start Ann Bowers from The Examplarery.   I'm stitching with the kitted cotton on the kit 35ct fabric

Last time we spoke, I showed where I was in week one of #outofthestashatlast.  I was right, I didn't get too much more done on To Laugh Often but when I pull it back out, it shouldn't take much more than a week to finish.

For week two, I pulled out Peace by A Stitcher's Hands.

I discovered that some of the colors I originally converted from the AVAS years ago either didn't work with my fabric or I didn't like how they worked together so this conversion is still a work in progress but I think I'm close.

Here's where I left it.  I'm not sure about the blues in the flower.

For week three, I pulled out Growth Rings from Ink Circles.  I've got the magazine version of this and the called for colors from Hand-Dyed Fibers.

Tangent - did you know Vikki is dyeing again??  Hand-dyedfibers.com

I started this on Silkweaver's 40ct French Vanilla Swirl and this is where I've gotten to

For some reason, I couldn't get into this project.  I think it's starting too many new things at once, but who knows.  For now, I've pulled it off my q-snaps and pulled out Old European Sampler by Steve Rousseau via Needleprint.

Here's is my progress

Until later!

10/6/20

I made a little more progress on The Forgotten.

Then,  on October 1, #outofthestashatlast began.

When Julie from Reflections Framing announced this idea in one of her flosstube videos, I knew exactly which projects I would pull out of stash to start.  Most of them have been kitted for years and have been passed over for one reason or another many times.

The first project I chose is To Laugh Often by Twisted Threads.  I originally was going to use a 36 ct fabric which is what is my floss toss but it wasn't big enough.  So, I pulled a piece of 40ct and got started.  Here's my floss toss

I've made some nice progress and I was hoping I would finish the left hand before putting it up for the October 8 start, I don't think it will happen since work has gotten busier this week.
