Page finish and an OLD WIP
Friday, I finished page 1 of Old European Sampler. I really like the colors in this with the pops of color in the browns.
I moved the qsnaps and threaded my needle to start page 2 and lost interest in this for now so I tried The Forgotten by Charting Creations. Zero progress on that one too. So I dug around in my WIPs and found one of the two oldest WIPs I have. I still need to dig the other one out. I don't think it has very much left on it.
Anyway, Here is Mirabilia's Garden Verses when I pulled it out Friday. I was using DMC metallic in this and hated it which may be why I haven't made a lot of progress in the last 10 years. That and the fabric is not good. I remember pulling it out since I had it and the chart would fit. I'm going to stick it out though.
Friday night, I frogged the metallic and I've since restitched with PTB and made some nice progress on the left side. I'm really looking forward to getting into some of the richer colors and away from the ecru and browns.

Here stitchy bug!
I'm still trying to tempt my stitchy bug and it's not working so well.
Last Thursday, I couldn't face any more roses on Beaded Dragonfly Tile for a bit. It was bad enough that I didn't even finish the leaves I was working on.
I pull it off my qsnaps and pulled He Came With the Rain back out for the weekend.
I put about 1050 stitches in this and pulled it back off my qsnaps. Then I went digging through some older kitted projects and found Steve Rousseau's Old European Sampler that was a freebie through the Needleprint blog in 2010
I have this kitted in HDF silks and made a little progress last night.
Time will tell if this one stays out for a bit.

There be dragons...
Actually, their much smaller cousins, the dragonfly.
I've really been enjoying this one. I don't know if it's because it's a new start, a Chatelaine, beads or a combination of all three.
Friday night, I finished the first rose bud. There are eighteen colors, including the backstitch color, in that baby. But the result is beautiful!
Saturday, I finished another couple rose buds and added the backstitching on the first two dragonflies.
And last night, I finished the last rose, added the remaining dragonflies and started adding beads to them. There is a definite PITA factor to beading this way, but I love the little blingy dudes!

Ugh...
Since my last post, my mojo has taken a short leave of absence.
I haven't managed much since my last post.
There were 115 stitches on Lust
Then to try to tempt my mojo back, I pulled out my kit for Chatelaine's Beaded Dragonfly Tile. Here's a screenshot from chatelaine.de
I didn't get very far, in part because we had a basketball tournament all weekend. I'm stitching on 28ct white Monaco.

They kinda look like chickens...
Last week was fairly productive.
I think the long tailed animals are probably supposed to be dragons of some nature, but they kind of look like chickens with the combs on top of their heads.

overall
Now, Lust is back out to hopefully see some good progress and the end of the flames!
