Finish! and a new start.
Halloween Cat is finished! Yay!
Instead of picking up on of my WIPs which are pretty much all BAPs, I decided to stick with something smaller.
This is Nora Corbett's Zenia. I'm stitching it as charted on Colour Cascades Fabric in Black Holded Sun on 32 ct Jobelan. It's my first time stitching on Jobelan but I think I really like it.
Here's my progress as of this morning. The picture that came with the chart shows beads that are way more red than the beads listed in the materials but these do have a little bit of red in them so I left them.

Another Halloween Cat update
I'm hoping this is the last Halloween Cat update.
Last night, I finished the little cat on the left and the center one.
That bit cat just reminds me so much of one of mine.
When we were trying to pick names for him, my son decided to call him Oreo. I wanted to call him Cricket since he was kind of a bouncy baby. But Oreo it was. Now, it kind of fits him. He's got a nice soft light grey tummy.

Page finish and a new start
So, last week, this time, I had almost finished page 4 of The Loneliness of Autumn. Wednesday, I finally managed to fill in the last confetti stitch for another page finish.
Then I pulled SS Daybreak back out and made a little progress before I got bored.
Saturday afternoon, I pulled out a chart for a new start.
I converted the called for DMC to HDF and started stitching on 32ct Belfast in PTP's Icon. I was not happy with the coverage of 1x2
so frogged it and pulled out a piece of 40ct Kingston in PTP's Valor and made a little progress last night.
At this point, I'm concerned that the black on the cat's cheeks is blending too much with the dark grey of it's face. The nose is black too but I think that can be fixed by stitching it 2x2 instead of 1x2 so it stands out a little more.

The Loneliness of Autumn
I'm creeping up on another page finish!
I'm hoping to finish this page in the next night or two and be able to check off another goal for this year. I still have a couple more WIPs sitting on my coffee table waiting for me to choose one to work on. Will it be Her Private Garden? or SS Daybreak or something totally different for recent stitching and Loara Standish will get some love? I don't know either!

Thinking out loud
Hi guys!
Since the end of the year is approaching and I haven't managed to make several of my goals this year, I'm starting to think about next year's goals and what I can do different. I have two HAEDs that are probably my oldest WIPs right now.
There's Earth Song that I started in March 2009
There's Earth Song that I started in March 2009
and Lust that was started 10/1/09
I'm debating making Lust my focus piece for 2017 and stitching a page at a time then picking another WIP for a page and coming back to Lust for a page, etc. I'm hoping I would be able to finish her in the next year or so that way. I have 12 full pages and 9 partial pages. Three of the partial pages are the last page of the rows and are only 12 stitches wide and I typically stitch them at the same time as the full page before them. The other partial pages are the last row which are only 22 stitches long and the last page there is tiny. It will probably take two more years to finish her even if she is my focus piece, but I would really like to see her done and on my wall.
I also have a small update on The Loneliness of Autumn. I'm probably only half way done with page 4, but I'm hoping for a very quiet weekend. Since my DH has a cold and probably won't want to do much, I may be able to finish the page. Cross your fingers for me!
